• Dr. Margarete Haase was born in 1953 in Neunkirchen, Austria. She studied Economics and Business Administration at the University of Vienna and completed her dissertation in 1984, followed by an Executive Education Programme at the Harvard Business School in Boston, USA.

• She started her professional career in 1979, as an Analyst at Kapitalbeteiligungs AG and joined RZB-Leasing GmbH in 1983 as Department Head for Leasing/Fiscal Special Transactions.

• In 1986, she moved to CIS Information Systems, in Geneva, Switzerland as Regional Director, Sales & Refinancing.

• From 1987 to 1990 Dr. Haase worked for Daimler-Benz AG in Stuttgart, Germany as Head of Controlling Leasing companies and Head of Participations North & South America. From 1995 to 2000, she worked for Daimler-Benz AG, Munich, Amsterdam and Dublin as Head of Sales Finance DASA, Executive Board Fokker Sales, Finance Board Member of Airbus Finance Company. From 2000 to 2002, she held the position Head of Corporate Financial Planning at Daimler Chrysler AG, in Stuttgart.

• During the period 2002 until 2006, she became the Commercial Director of the Berlin Engine Plant of Daimler Chrysler AG, followed by the position of Director Corporate Audit Europe in Stuttgart.

• In 2007, Dr. Haase was appointed Member of the Board at Daimler Financial Services AG in Berlin and in 2009, she was appointed Member of the Management Board, Finance, Human Resources and Investor and Public Relations.

• Dr. Haase is Member of the Supervisory Board of Fraport AG and ZF Friedrichshafen AG.

• Since February 2016 she is a Member of the German corporate governance code.
